Erasmus+
ISS is proud to be an accredited Erasmus+ School, recognized for excellence in international collaboration and innovation. Through Erasmus+, our students and staff take part in meaningful exchanges that inspire learning beyond borders.
Erasmus+ Program at ISS
The Erasmus+ Program, funded by the European Union, is built on two key goals: fostering a strong European identity and responsibility, and strengthening social interaction and responsibility through self-directed learning and co-teaching. These aims are fully aligned with the school’s mission of collaborative learning, enriching education for both teachers and students across the Degerloch and Sindelfingen campuses.
The International School of Stuttgart is proud to have been awarded the Erasmus+ Quality Label (Erasmus+ Qualitätssiegel im Schulbereich) for excellence and good practice. This recognition, granted to projects receiving 90 points or higher in their final evaluation, acknowledges ISS as a model of successful Erasmus+ implementation. It reflects our strong partnership with the European Union and our commitment to high-quality international collaboration, innovation in education, and impactful learning experiences for students and teachers alike.
Erasmus+ Opportunities at ISS
At ISS, Erasmus+ offers transformative opportunities for both students and teachers across our Degerloch and Sindelfingen campuses. These projects promote innovation, collaboration, and intercultural understanding through shared European experiences.
Teacher Development: Workshops & Job-Shadowing
Through Erasmus+, ISS teachers engage in professional learning across Europe, participating in workshops and job-shadowing experiences that encourage innovation in teaching and collaboration across schools. These opportunities allow educators to share best practices, explore new approaches to learning, and bring fresh perspectives and ideas back into ISS classrooms, enhancing teaching and learning for our entire community.
Student Mobility: Learning Beyond Borders
Erasmus+ gives ISS students the chance to connect with peers across Europe through group mobility projects. These exchanges promote intercultural understanding, confidence, and global awareness while supporting self-directed learning and teamwork. By engaging with different cultures and educational settings, students gain valuable experiences that prepare them to become open-minded, responsible, and active European citizens.
