Sindelfingen Summer Camp

For ages 5–13, our Traditional Language Camp blends English and German learning with hands-on fun. From arts & crafts to global exploration and themed weekly projects, each day is packed with creative activities that inspire curiosity, collaboration, and cultural discovery—all in a supportive, language-rich environment.

Welcome to summer@iss, Sindelfingen Campus –Language Camp!

Our Traditional Language Camp provides a dynamic and immersive experience for learners ages 5 to 13, running from 8:00 to 15:00 each day. Designed to blend language learning with hands-on exploration, the camp offers a full day of engaging activities that encourage creativity, collaboration, and cultural awareness.

Campers will participate in classic camp favorites such as tie-dye, sports, arts & crafts, and interactive group games, alongside in-depth weekly projects inspired by global exploration. All activities are thoughtfully integrated into the English and German languages, fostering natural language acquisition in an engaging and supportive environment.

Throughout the summer, learners will embark on an unforgettable journey across five continents—without ever leaving camp! Each day, they will discover new countries, traditions, and customs while enhancing their English or German language skills through play, creativity, and cultural immersion.

As part of this experience, the Centaurus (our oldest campers) take on a leadership role by planning the Friday presentation for parents. This involves researching, writing, and presenting their findings in English or German, depending on the language focus of the week. Through this process, they will develop essential skills in inquiry, public speaking, and collaboration, reinforcing their language learning in an engaging and meaningful way.

This camp is designed to make learning fun and meaningful, encouraging curiosity and a love for languages while providing a safe and enriching space for social and personal growth.
