SV-ISS is an inclusive sports club offering a wide range of competitive, non-competitive, and recreational activities for students and the wider community. Open to all—not just ISS students—our growing programme builds physical skills, confidence, and connections through sport. Join us and be part of a vibrant, supportive club environment.

The mission of the SV-ISS (Sportverein der Internationalen Schule Stuttgart) is to provide and coordinate a variety of competitive, non-competitive and recreational activities. The SV-ISS works hand-in-hand with ISS (International School of Stuttgart). We welcome everybody who wants to compete or further develop physical, social and interpersonal abilities.

Sportverein is the German word for sports club. As a Sportverein we are registered in the German Register of Associations in the Local District Court. This means that everybody has access to it, not only students from ISS. Our successful program is growing from year to year. We have built partnerships with different schools and sports clubs to increase our program and to have more children from the German community joining our Sportverein.

For off campus activities , the transportation to and off the field is the parents responsibility.

Martial Arts

Grades 1–6 (available for all students)

Mondays 15:30-16:30 Lower School Gym

Bambini U7 (Ages 5–6)

  • Location: SV Hoffeld Turf, Bopseräcker 4–5, 70597 Stuttgart (also called Hohe Eiche)

Basketball (Competitive – German League)

Boys U12 (born between 01.07.2013 – 31.12.2015)

  • Tuesdays: 15:30–17:00 at Albschule

  • Thursdays: 15:30–17:00 at Upper School Gym

Girls U12 (born between 01.07.2013 – 31.12.2015)

  • Wednesdays: 15:30–17:00 at Albschule

  • Thursdays: 15:30–17:00 at Upper School Gym

Important: Participation is based on birth date, not school grade. Only students born between 01.07.2013 and 31.12.2015 may join.

Circus for Kids

Grades 1–3 (First Block)

  • Tuesdays: 15:30–16:30 at Lower School Gym

Grades 3–5 (Second Block – available for Sindelfingen students)

  • Tuesdays: 16:30–17:30 at Lower School Gym

🎪 Led by Coach Mr. Lino (trained in Rio de Janeiro)
✨ Learn juggling, acrobatics & more incredible tricks
🎭 Perform at the annual Lower School Assembly

Sport Development

Early Years – Grade 3 Students

  • Wednesdays: 14:30–15:30 (Early Years 4 – Grade 1)

  • Wednesdays: 15:30–16:30 (Grade 1 – Grade 3)

  • Location: Lower School Gym
    Second slot available for Sindelfingen students

    🏃‍♀️ Focus: climbing, swinging, throwing, jumping, catching
    🌟 Enhances motor skills through fun and active play

    Swimming (Beginners)

    Kindergarten – Grade 2 Students

    • Tuesdays: 15:30–16:45 (starts in September 22)

    • Location: Wilhelms-Gymnasium Pool

    🏊‍♂️ Learn basic swimming and confidence in the water from educated teachers

    🥇 Led by Mr. Jürgen Frank, known for developing top athletes.

    🏃‍♂️ Availble to Sindlefingen students; athletes will compete in the German league 

    Tennis

    Early Years – Grade 12 (available for Sindelfingen students)

    • Location: Galileo Tennis Club, Stuttgart-Vaihingen (70565 Stuttgart)

      📅 Starts 16th and 17th of September

    Parents Exercise Club

    Training Schedule:

    • Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays: 8:30–9:30 AM

    • Location: Juhrythmics Tanzschule, Julius-Hölder Str. 39, 70597 Stuttgart
