Fresh air and comfortable climate are important elements for learning. Limiting our impact on the planet is also an important goal for our students and our staff. ISS is committed to all of these elements and the expansion of our EcoBond program allows for us all to contribute to solar and geothermal energy that reduces our fossil fuel capacity by 80%.
We are also in the process of expanding our outdoor learning environments, providing resources for students to both study and involve themselves in the natural world through gardening, or our STEAM programs.

Why now?
As part of the schools commitment to meeting the number one priority of our students when it comes to school costs, we have designed a foundational campaign for donations, and two community campaigns to allow as many members of our association as possible to be involved. The first community campaign is this EcoBond initiative. The second will be a traditional series of community events and opportunities for naming to support specific programmatic or facility needs.
Our goal is clear: to minimize fossil fuel dependency and create a school that champions sustainability. And we want you to be a part of this transformative journey!
What if we don’t meet the campaign goals?
The total invest in our green future includes a variety of different opportunities to save energy costs and use. This includes solar and geothermal installations which are our absolute priority and will save us nearly 250k€ each year in future. Additional conservation measures include to changing lightbulbs, improving window energy efficiency and better heating and cooling radiation systems. We will be able to stagger our planned activities according to received investments if necessary.
How does it work?
With savings of nearly 250,000 a year, we can easily support the vestiture of our bond over the four years in addition to booking the competitive interest rate offered.
